Receptionists
Chrissy
Chrissy joined our team in June, 2007, and is now our head receptionist. She coordinates all the details of the reception area and takes on a lot of responsibility that we really appreciate! She has a dog named Rajah and cat, Puss'n'Boots. She enjoys playing softball and flag football. Not only is she our full-time head receptionist, but a busy mom that keeps up with her kids' baseball and flag football games. As a family, they are very active and enjoy going to Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. She also enjoys Starbucks and anything dealing with C.S.I.

Jody is a wonderful asset in our receptionist team. Her full bio will be coming soon.

Stacey is our newest receptionist, and she became part of our team in February, 2010. We are happy to have her. Her full bio will be coming soon.
Veterinary Technicians
Sarah
Sarah began working at our hospital in July, 2002 when she was hired as a veterinary assistant in our boarding facility. She proved to be a valuable asset and has worked her way up to become our head technician. She aspires to attend the veterinary technology program at Maple Woods Community College to become a Registered Vet Tech. She has a crew at home consisting of her fiance, Greg, cats Emmy and Gracie, and an English Bulldog appropriately named Wiggles. She spends time outside of work with her twin sister (her mom was a twin too!), her adorable niece and her two brothers. She is an avid movie-watcher and you can find her with a DVD or at the theater a lot! Sarah is an amazing member of our team with her friendly personality and a strong work ethic. She is skilled in every possible area of our hospital, so if you ever need help, Sarah can assist you!
Emily
Emily is our newest technician, hired in February, 2010. Emily has had many past experiences in veterinary medicine with species including dogs, cats and cattle! She aspires to attend veterinary school in the future. Her full bio will be coming soon.
Veterinary Assistants
Erin
Erin helps manage our boarding facility and has been with us since the summer of 2001. She works hard making sure the boarding facility is clean and inviting to our guests. She is also very involved with our adoption program and has helped find many pets good homes over the years. Her family consists of her husband, her son Alejandro, her new baby Cruz, her dog Pablo, and three cats, Alexzander, Annabelle, and Milton. She loves to shop and has interests in becoming a cosmetologist or opening her own animal shelter someday.
Tiffany
Tiffany is one of the veterinary assistants and training technicians in our hospital area and she also helps take care of the pets in our boarding facility. She has been working with us since November 2006. She attended Winnetonka High School, is now attending Maple Woods Community College and hopes to enter the Veterinary Technology program. At home, Tiffany has a newly adopted kitten (one of our "adoptables"), Magenta, and her dog, Mercedes. She also enjoys her 55 gallon saltwater aquarium where she keep Nemo, Dory, and friends.
Sara
Sara has been with us since August of 2007. She is busy here taking care of our guests in the boarding facility, helping in the reception area, and also assisting the technicians and doctors. Sara has a brother, a dog, Annie May and is very active with her horse, Bailey. She rides, works at the barn, and shows horses competitively. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 2009. Sara hopes to enter the Veterinary Technology program and continue working as a veterinary technincian in the future with large animals.
Elizabeth
Liz was hired to help with our boarding facility in July of 2008. She helps in the hospital, too, and enjoys assisting the doctors and vet techs. She has an older brother and sister, a dog, Rogue, and a cat, Zeus. Liz brings fun and laughter to our hospital - always entertaining us with stories like how she was born with an extra thumb! In her free time, she enjoys movies and spending time with her friends. She graduated from Winnetonka High School in 2009. Liz is currently a member of the class of 2013 at Northwest Missouri State University majoring in wildlife conservation and ecology.
Laura
Laura has been with us since June, 2009. She works all around the hospital as a training technician, a receptionist, and also caring for pets in the boarding facility. Laura has already done the classic act in veterinary medicine - adopt one of the homeless animals in our clinic! She took home one of our adoptable kittens after working here less than one month. Her pet family includes that kitten (now adult cat), Ninja, her Westie, Lacy, Lab Mix, Victor, and her newest addition, a Boxer named Tonka. Laura is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Maple Woods Community College and will be graduating in 2012. She hopes to pass her national board exam in 2012 and become a Certifited Veterinary Technician! When she's not at work or school, Laura enjoys reading, movies, spending time with friends, camping and fishing.
Scooter
Scooter, aka Scooty, is a very special kitty. He was found as a stray after an accident with a vehicle. The accident left him paralyzed in his hind legs for about a month but he miraculously regained function of his limbs. He walks with a bit of a swagger but he is pain-free and extremely lovable.
Christopher
Christopher was formerly owned by an employee of the hospital. She, however, was forced to find him a different home when she became very ill and so Christopher came to live with us. He is Scooter’s buddy and they prefer to hang out downstairs in the boarding facility. Chris has just become a diabetic, but we're taking good care of him and he's feeling quite well.
Bob
Bob would be considered our "newest" hospital cat, although he's a fixture in our treatment room by now. He enjoys food and treats, snoozing in his favorite chair, and grabbing the edge of your shoe with his front toes. He likes to be shaved, and Sarah keeps him nicely groomed in a classic "lion cut". He's a big, lovable guy with lots of personality. Our day would not be the same without Bob to keep us company in the hustle and bustle of the treatment area.
